Getting here:
Right behind the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. Some walking and hiking is required to get to the base of the waterfall. The trail is considered easy and accessible to everyone.

Description:
The waterfall is actually divided into 2 main sections: the Lower and the Upper Yosemite Falls. The latter is pretty much what the name implies. In total, the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls are about 2,600-ft above the valley floor.

A strenuous hiking may be required to get to the upper reaches of the falls. Nonetheless, I did find it unnecessary because the upper portion was clearly visible almost everywhere around the valley's visitor center.

The "hike" (or more of a leisure stroll) to the Lower Yosemite Falls is strongly recommended. The trail took me along some beautiful pine forests. In about 30 minutes, I arrived at this dazzling display of nature. Its upper lip spits out quite a tremendous amount of water that gushes down for some 400-ft, even in winter. I also saw some visitors climbing the rocks and ledges to get closer to the waterfall despite the warning of dangerous slippery rocks.
