Getting here:
From the Sand Beach's parking lot, walk to the other end of Sand Beach. Here you can see the stairs at the base of the rocky beach cliffs. The trail begins with a quick climb from this point.

Description:
While I am not so much of a hiking fan, I decided to venture into Great Head Trail. I was totally smitten with the beauty of Sand Beach. Hence, the fact that I could enjoy the beach view from high above on this trail fancied me.

The trail is rated medium which I thoroughly agreed. The early portion of the hike was a tad on the tough side with stair climb above the cliffs. Some 10 minutes later, I was on top of a cliff which overlooks Sand Beach from the other side. It was simply breathtaking.

Venturing further on the trail revealed more beautiful sights of the blue ocean, green forests and rocky coastlines.
